feSPORT: Olympiazentrum Vorarlberg in Paris

Im Rahmen des Erasmus+ Projektes feSPORT, das in Zusammenhang mit der ASPC (sportperformancecentres.org) vom INSEP ( Institut National du Sport, de l’Expertise et de la Performance, www.insep.fr) initiiert und abgewickelt wird, wird ein Team des Olympiazentrum Vorarlberg Anfang August in Paris sein und dort drei Veranstaltungen abwickeln. Einerseits wird es zwei Nachmittage geben, an denen das Olympiazentrum quasi als Vertreter Österreichs zwei Sportarten, für die Österreich ein gewisses Alleinstellungsmerkmal hat, zum Ausprobieren auf einer Fanzonen-artigen Fläche im Château Vincennes präsentiert: Im Radball werden dabei Patrick Schnetzer und Stefan Feurstein unterstützen, im Dodgeball wird Know-how der ehemaligen ÖOC-Mitarbeiterin Anna-Maria Pollany einfließen. Dazu werden wir eine Abendveranstaltung für die Projektpartner*innen im Austria House, das im Pavillon Montsouris (pavillon-montsouris.paris) untergebracht ist, organisieren.

An feSPORT sind zehn ASPC-Mitglieder aus zehn europäischen Nationen beteiligt. Das Projekt soll die Kultur und die Werte der Europäischen Union durch den Sport zeigen und fördern. Ziel ist es, die Öffentlichkeit für den Sport als Mittel zur Förderung von Gesundheit und Gleichheit zu sensibilisieren, die Sportkulturen der EU-Partnerländer vorzustellen und einen Austausch von Wissen und Know-how zwischen den verschiedenen Ländern zu ermöglichen.

« feSPORT » aims to take advantage of the excitement surrounding the Paris 2024 Olympic Games to promote the culture, values and advantages of the European Union through sport. The objectives are to raise public awareness of sport as a vehicle for health and equality, to showcase the sporting cultures of EU partner countries, and to enable an exchange of knowledge and know-how between the various countries … To this end, INSEP has joined forces with the Union française des oeuvres laïques d’éducation physique (UFOLEP) and nine European partners, most of them being high-performance sports centers*:

A dual and simultaneous ambition: to develop recreational and elite sport. The “feSPORT” festival program is divided into two distinct parts: :

during the day, the festival will be held in the courtyard of the Château de Vincennes, in one of the fanzones of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Open to all, it will feature popular and traditional European sporting activities as well as awareness-raising workshops. An exhibition on the sporting cultures of the partner countries will also be set up on the forecourt of the RER A station in Vincennes.
in the evening, events will be organized in each “Maison” of the European partner countries. These will enable exchanges between consortium members and other prestigious guests (embassy representatives, sports executives, presidents of associations, athletes, etc.) and the discovery of new cultures through entertainment. The long term objective is to establish new inter-European collaborations in the field of sport.

* Ireland, Luxembourg, Spain and Finland are historical partners of INSEP. Germany, Portugal, Sweden and Austria are also members of the Association of Sport Performance Centres (ASPC) – like INSEP – with whom the idea of creating this festival has emerged. Finally, Bulgaria has taken a proactive approach to joining the ASPC and strengthening the network.
